Any one whos ever played Jerry McGrath 98 (also on Playstation) will notice alot of similaritys between the games. But McGrath Vs Pastrana (now referd to as "Vs") has taken a good few steps BACK in quality. The Handaling is poor and slow. The scenery plods past flustratingly slowly giving the impression your 1 foot beep in mud. The tricks are strange too you can tell it was made by the same people an made Dave Mira Freestyle BMX as 360s and Barral Rolls, backflips etc. are achevable. The bikes and riders are strange too, riders have long limbs and huge feet and bikes have realy small wheels. It has some good ideas that seperate it from other games Over the 4 tracks (yep a hole 4!) you can "race" "freestyle" or "combo-race" the latter is the most interesting with riders racing round with the stunts points and your time combined to make you final score. In general this is a tottally poor game. The graphics, sound, game play and sound are all pants. The stunts are clumbsy as in the bike controll. You have very little cunstonisation of your bike and its all controlled from confusing and poorly layed out menus.

Verdict. I CANT BELEVE I NEARLY PAYED GOOD MONEY FOR THIS GAME!!!
Mail you reviews for this or any other MX game here.
Heres my preview from last month and I was right!!
McGrath vs. Pastrana While an actual (real life) duel race would be amazing the game appears to be rather pants. It was, apparently, shipped today to be delivered to all you Americans on Thursday. Bet you can't wait!! Its from the company that maid the amazing BMX game Dave Mirra BMX and the lack of racing depicted in the screen shots sagest that the FMX element is probably going to be good. "I know freestyle fans will enjoy pulling off some of the same stunts I used to win this year's X Games." said Pastrana (wow, my cheese-omiter just went through the roof!!) Two other things it offers that MM2 can't is weather and a CARD ROOM!!!?
